REPORTS.com staffers attended a 4-hour "deep dive" presentation at the historic Detroit Athletic Club (DAC) this week during SAE, hosted by the Consulate of Mexico, Miller-Canfield and ProMexico, among others. While there, we spent time with the CEO of Mexico City based Mastretta Cars, Daniel Mastretta.
According to company materials, "MASTRETTA CARS is a division of Tecnoidea SAPI de CV, a Mexican design and engineering consulting firm based in the Mexico City area with more than 20 years experience in the transportation industry. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to spend time with modern automotive pioneers like Heinz Prechter, Erich Bitter, Henrik Fisker, Mary Lee Tucker-McAndrew (daughter of Preston Tucker) Quasiturbine engine co-inventor Dr. Gilles Saint-Hilaire and Stan Ovshinsky, developer of the Nickel-Metal-Hydride (NiMH) battery.
We sense a drive and vision in Daniel Mastretta not dissimilar to the aforementioned colleagues...
